Small Business Week 2008 is set to give a boost to smaller firms up and down the UK this year.
The BT-organised event will run for five days following 13 October and will bring together business experts from small to medium enterprises (SMEs) from all over the country, as well as local and national government economic representatives.
The British Chamber of Commerce will also be in attendance, providing forums and workshops on topics such as flexible working options and innovative business practice.
"[The small business sector] continues to be dynamic and energising, but more than ever, we need to ensure the right resources and structures are in place to support small businesses during these more challenging times," the managing director of BT Business, Bill Murphy, commented.
A recent study by More Th>n Business claimed that running costs for SMEs were at their highest level for three years.
